Dear Fans,

I hope you all had a nice Easter and were able to enjoy the wonderful spring weather. The countdown is now on: there are only a few weeks to go until the start of the 25th International Fanday and, with this in mind, I would like to share with you a few more details about the event.

As I'm sure you already know, the event on the 14th June 2014 is completely sold out (the International Fanday and the ensuing concert). Thanks once again to you all for this. Tickets are currently still available for the additional concert on the 15th June at http://www.ticket-regional.de/thomasanders. More on this later.

Firstly, here is the timetable for the event on 14.06.2014:

  • Doors open for Internat. Fanday:  12pm
  • Start of International Fanday:        3pm
  • End of International Fanday:          6pm
  • Doors open for Concert:                7pm
  • Beginning of Concert:                    8pm
  • End of Concert:                      ca. 9.45pm

The ticket for the event on Saturday 14.06.2014 also allows you entry to the fort and its grounds without any extra cost for your visit.

Doors will be open from 12pm. The final, missing hologram will be given out immediately after the entrance. Hopefully many of you will then have completed your ticket pass. As in previous years, it will be possible to buy a hologram from the Fanoffice.

As many of you would like to keep hold of your ticketpass as a memento, we have created a system whereby fans can keep their tickets but still take part in the prize draw.

This works in the following way: take your completed ticket pass to the Fanoffice. One of our staff will then mark your ticket and give you a separate ticket for the prize draw. One completed ticketpass entitles you to one entry in the prize draw.

Many discussions have been had with our staff on the entrance about the use of cameras and recording devices at the event. I want to take this opportunity to inform you that no professional cameras or recording devices will be allowed in the cupola hall Kuppelsaal. Such devices may only be permitted on to the premises upon prior authorisation by the Thomas Anders Fanclub. Warning: If you are in possession of professional filming equipment or cameras, you will be asked to hand it in at the cloakroom by security personnel  - we accept no responsibility or liability for damages caused!

From 1pm you can have your photo taken with me. Unfortunately Guido, my friend and star photographer, can not be there on this day due to prior commitments. However, we are fortunate to have Peter Seidel, a well-known photographer who works with the Koblenz press, to help us. This year there is no need to come back to pick up your photo - it will be available immediately.

Due to the technical costs involved in offering this service we will be asking for a token fee of 6 euros.

Following the photo session, our Fanday will begin. We have many surprises in store for you. For example we will be holding our prize draw again and, due to popular demand, the main prize from the past few years will be raffled off once more. This means I will be cooking dinner for the winner and a person of their choice at my house!

There will be a break from around 6pm to set up for the concert which begins at 8pm. This gives you the perfect chance to look around the fort, grab some food or refreshments from one of the numerous eateries, or simply take in the wonderful panorama. The concert with the band from Modern Talking will end around 9.45pm which still leaves you the possibility of taking the cable car over the Rhine and back into town.

As a result of the huge demand, we will be holding a further concert on the Sunday. Since a lot of you will have to work Monday and travel home Sunday evening, I will start at 7pm (doors open at 6pm). I will be holding an autograph signing session after the concert in the cupola hall Kuppelsaal.

The fort's grounds will be accessible to all guests from 6pm. Before this time normal entrance fees will apply and are NOT covered with our ticket! Please note that the cable car only runs until 6pm so it will not be possible to travel back to Koblenz this way after the concert.

Lots of information! I hope that I'll see you in June and that the weather will add to a great anniversay atmosphere. I'm looking forward to seeing you at the fort and hope that the 25th International Fan Day and, of course, the additional concert provide us all with great memories for a long time. Until then, enjoy the spring and the many long weekends!

Best regards your

Thomas Anders
